What We Talked About
This week, we collaborated with the wonderful Ricky Siegel, PhD, LMHC, CST – Sex therapist and co-founder of Modern Sex Therapy Institutes.
When we were recording, it was before the election. By the time you all hear this, it will be done with. So, you already know what happens!
Ricky and Erika reflect on what anxiety, and the state of the world in 2020, has done to our sex lives and our bodies in general. Consider this conversation as a little bit of 20/20 hindsight on our lives in 2020.
A few details we touch on are news fatigue, dating, and sexual desire going out the window during the pandemic. Ricky emphasizes “less medication, more orgasms”, and paying attention to our bio-feedback. He says, “No drug that we can take could do anything for us unless there were already a natural pathway for it.”
Some significant questions we ask/answer:
- How do I break down what I, as an individual, need in my life?
- How do we start to repair some of the global trauma we’ve all experienced?
- What have heightened and chronic stress responses meant for our sexual health and activity?
Don't stop here, folks! Listen in, and get the whole experience!
